PubMed Redesign

You may have noticed that PubMed looks a little different. The site went through a redesign to simplify the interface and make it easier to use. The same functionalities are still in place, they just may have moved. Read the announcement and see all the changes here: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/so09/so09_pm_redesign.html

Some changes to note:

  • The main search box now appears at the very top of the page.
  • Search Limits, History and the Details tab have been moved under "Advanced Search" at the top of the page.
  • Sign in to MyNCBI along the top right.
  • Tools and resources previously found along the left-hand side menu are now in three columns in the middle of the page.
  • The Single Citation Matcher is under the category "PubMed Tools".
  • There is a simplified Abstract format, combining the old AbstractPlus and Citation formats.
  • The SFX@TSRI button remains in the right hand column of the abstract.
